Okay FEARNOT, stop what you’re doing: LE SSERAFIM just dropped their first-ever single album, SPAGHETTI, and it’s exactly the kind of deliciously cheeky chaos I live for. The record has just two tracks but so much personality — the neon, tongue-in-cheek title track “SPAGHETTI” (featuring BTS’s j-hope) and the softer B-side “Pearlies (My oyster is the world),” a heartfelt shoutout to the fandom.
In an exclusive with Billboard Philippines, the members talked about turning the whole saucy concept into something that sticks in your head. Kim Chaewon summed it up with the lyric image everyone’s been quoting: “Stuck between your teeth, that’s SPAGHETTI” — a deliberate idea of being catchy and impossible to forget. Huh Yunjin actually led the concept and says she wrote the initial vision, pitching the whole food-as-addiction metaphor that runs through the songs.
Some fun behind-the-scenes bits the interview revealed (yes, the tomato-splatter stories are real): Chaewon smelled tomato sauce on her even after filming; Eunchae swam in a pool of tomato sauce (brave!); the MV set included drag queens and actors who turned filming into a full-on party; and Sakura debuted a bob for the concept. Choreography, bold vocals, and the repeated “EAT IT UP” hook are intentionally playful — each member delivers it with their own flavor.
Tour life influenced this comeback heavily. The group wrapped their sold-out EASY CRAZY HOT World Tour before this release and say performing worldwide — especially the first U.S. show in Newark for Yunjin — gave them confidence and energy that bled into SPAGHETTI’s attitude and performance-focused production.
Quick snapshot of what matters:
- SPAGHETTI is LE SSERAFIM’s first single album and contains two tracks: the title track (feat. j-hope) and “Pearlies (My oyster is the world).”
- Huh Yunjin originated the concept and co-wrote the title song; the theme plays on addictive taste and the group name sticking in your head.
- The group recently finished their EASY CRAZY HOT World Tour and say that the tour shaped their performance choices for this comeback.
- LE SSERAFIM debuted in 2022 under Source Music/HYBE and their fandom is called FEARNOT.
Bottom line: SPAGHETTI is playful, confident, and intentionally inescapable — a short-but-meaningful stop on LE SSERAFIM’s fast-rising path. If you loved HOT and their tour energy, this one keeps that fire but wraps it in glittery pasta sauce and a wink. Can’t wait to see how they perform it live next.
