When Private Pain Goes Public: CLICK B’s Sanghyuk and the Deleted Divorce Teaser

Big sigh — a messy moment of TV oversharing just landed in our feeds. Ulzzang-turned-influencer Song Da Ye publicly complained that every time her ex, CLICK B member Kim Sanghyuk, appears on camera people bring up their split — and she’s had enough. Her post said the repeated mentions reopen an old wound and create unwanted articles about her life.

The situation kicked off after a teaser on April 7 from TV personality Jang Sung Kyu’s YouTube channel. In the clip, Jang casually hinted at behind-the-scenes stories about Sanghyuk’s divorce while mentioning he’d even had a meal with Sanghyuk’s (then) wife. Song Da Ye responded on April 9 (KST), writing, “Every time my ex-husband appears on TV, he brings up the divorce, which leads to articles I never asked for.” She added that being reminded of that time is extremely painful and asked for edits when a feature could make someone uncomfortable.

As the backlash grew, the channel removed the teaser and later released the full episode on April 10 with all mentions of Song Da Ye and their divorce edited out.

Quick timeline and context:

As a fan, I get why Song Da Ye pushed back — even if something is technically public, repeatedly dragging up private pain for clicks isn’t okay. It’s good the channel edited the episode, but this feels like a reminder that we should be more careful about turning other people’s pasts into fodder for content.
