On April 19, K-Pop mourned the passing of beloved idol ASTRO’s Moon Bin at the age of 25.
Fantagio confirmed Astro Moon Bin’s passing on their official Twitter page, “On April 19, Astro member Moon Bin unexpectedly left our world and became a star in the sky.”
The K-pop community couldn’t believe when the news about Moonbin’s passing broke out to the public. The idol has a lot of activities lined up this year and was even socially active just four days ago before this news shocked everyone.
Many of the industry’s biggest stars paid tribute to the late idol in various ways.
IU reportedly asked outlets not to release her interview for upcoming movie Dream until a designated time and date out of respect for Moon Bin. BTS’ RM shared a black background without any captions to express his grief. Former announcer and TV personality Jang Sung Kyu also paid tribute to the late idol on his live radio show. Comedian Kwon Hyuk Soo and musical actor Kim Ho Young also paid tribute through their social media accounts.
Exid’s Hani and Hyelin, Jung Shin Hye and more celebrities also gave tributed on their social media pages.
