GOT7 members officially left JYP Entertainment.

Previously, it was reported that GOT7 boy’s contract is over on January 19th and would not be renewing their contracts with JYP Entertainment.

On January 11th, JYP Entertainment has released their official statement confirming that all seven members of GOT7 will not be renewing their contracts with the agency and chose to look for better opportunities.

“Hello. This is JYP Entertainment.

JYP has held thorough discussions with the GOT7 members ahead of the expiration of their exclusive contract on January 19.

As a result of the discussions, both the company and the members have agreed not to renew a contract, instead wishing for a new future.GOT7 has been a global idol group representing K-Pop for the last 7 years since they debuted on January 16, 2014.

We genuinely thank GOT7 for being part of the growth of K-pop and JYP, as well as I GOT7 and all fans who have been a source of motivation to GOT7’s activities with their endless support since their debut.

Our official relationship is over, but JYP will continue to support GOT7 and their future. Thank you.”
