Okay, stop everything — NMIXX are officially making history. JYP’s rising girl group will become the first K-pop act to perform at Brazil’s Carnival, appearing as a special guest at Pabllo Vittar’s Bloco da Pabllo in São Paulo. The group is scheduled to take the stage on March 16 (local time) during Carnival, which runs March 14–18.
This appearance continues NMIXX’s partnership with Pabllo Vittar following their international collab "MEXE" (released last August). The track fused NMIXX’s genre‑blending sound with Vittar’s high-energy Brazilian pop, features vocals in both Korean and Portuguese, and included Latin-inspired choreography — so a reunion on a Carnival bloco feels perfectly timed.
Why it’s notable: bloco parties are massive street celebrations central to Brazilian Carnival culture, and NMIXX will be the first K-pop act to join one of these events. It’s a neat milestone for K-pop’s global reach and a major moment for the group.
- NMIXX debuted in 2022 under JYP Entertainment.
- Pabllo Vittar is a globally recognized Brazilian pop singer and drag performer who frequently headlines Carnival events.
- Their joint single "MEXE" featured bilingual (Korean/Portuguese) vocals and Latin-influenced choreography.
I can’t wait to see how NMIXX brings their multi-genre energy to São Paulo’s streets — samba-meets-K-pop, here we come!
