After thorough investigation, it was revealed that BLACKPINK is officially the most viewed Korean music video within 24 hours.
It was first revealed that BLACKPINK wasn’t able to break BTS and PSY’s records, but BILLBOARD officially reported and confirmed that BLACKPINK’s DDu Du DDu Du is the most viewed Korean video, 24 hours after the song was released.
BLACKPINK recorded 36.2 million views within 24 hours making it the second music video worldwide to reach the highest number of views in just a day. The first on the list is Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do,” with 43.2 million views.
Being YG Entertainment’s newest K-pop group, BLACKPINK just proved that despite being new in the industry, they can still rise to the top just by their amazing and high-quality music.
BLACKPINK is rumored to be releasing another set of songs in the second half of 2018.
