Congratulations to BTS!
Sunday, May 21, 2017, would definitely be an eventful day for Bangtan Boys and their ever-so-passionate fandom, Army. Ever since the boy group was nominated as the Top Social Artist for the Billboard Music Awards 2017, the fans have shown their endless support. The effort doesn’t bear fruitless results, as Bangtan Boys snatched the award!
The first K-Pop group
BTS undoubtedly wrote quite an impressive history in the K-Pop world, as the first ever K-Pop group to win BBMAs. Although the group didn’t get to perform, all 7 members were present as they accepted the award onstage. For the last 6 years, ever since the Top Social Artist award started to be given away, Justin Bieber has always won the award. 2017 would be the first year an artist other than Justin won the award. We sincerely congratulate BTS for their achievement! In the future, let’s hope more K-Pop groups can continue to gain recognition from a bigger audience.
