iKON is trending worldwide as they won the grand prize at the first day of 33rd Golden Disc Awards.
iKON started at the bottom, now they’re rising to the top as one of the most promising K-pop groups in 2019.
iKON won Digital Daesang due to the massive or phenomenal success of iKON’s Love Scenario which became Korea’s national anthem in 2018.
People from different ages— from infant to the oldest, regardless the gender and status, iKON’s Love Scenario was loved equally by Koreans.
And not to mention iKON achieved the highest number of Perfect All Kills, 204 PAKs, which no one else has achieved ever in Korea’s music industry, can truly make us conclude already that iKON’s Love Scenario owned 2018 with no doubts and hesitation.
iKON members were surprised and couldn’t believe that they won the grandest prize at the Golden Disc Awards 2019.
Aside from the Daesang, iKON also won the Bonsang award.
In order for a K-pop idol to get Daesang, they must first win a Bonsang award.
iKON also trended worldwide on Twitter at no.5, while GDA2019 trended at no.1.
Other YG Entertainment artists who won at the 33rd Golden Disc Awards are Mino, Blackpink, and Bigbang.
