On May 17, several videos captured by Paris-based photographer Amar Taoualit that allegedly depicted BLACKPINK’s Jennie and BTS’s V on an evening date circulated across social media.
The clips showed a couple walking hand-in-hand and being followed by their managers. Further photographs taken on the same night suggested that the two K-Pop idols closely resembled the pair in the videos.
This led to speculation that V and Jennie were indeed together, which was then heavily discussed in Korean online communities, with fans congratulating the couple.
According to Sports Seoul, YG Entertainment and HYBE released a statement on May 18 saying, “We do not know due to it being regarding the artists’ private lives.”
