In recent interviews, former 2NE1 member Sandara Park opened up about her experience at YG Entertainment.
On July 18, during her appearance on JTBC’s Salty Pawn Shop program, she shared a story about how the company’s founder, Yang Hyun Suk, confiscated her mobile phone because of BIGBANG’s G-Dragon.
Dara revealed that during that time, she was popular among male celebrities who would often try to get in touch with her. She ignored their calls and messages, but one of them shared his frustration with G-Dragon while drinking.
G-Dragon was proud of her for avoiding popular men and bragged about her to others in the company, and unfortunately, it reached the boss. Consequently, he took away her phone and she had to spend a few months without it.
Though Sandara Park had started the story with a playful tease of G-Dragon, it was clear that she was grateful to him for his kindness towards 2NE1 as G-Dragon took good care of 2ne1 when the group debuted.
