Family fined
Choi Siwon of Super Junior quickly became a household name earlier this week thanks to his dog biting scandal. The singer’s pet family, a French bulldog, bit the CEO of a famous upscale Korean cuisine restaurant Hanilkwan. The CEO later died because of an infection caused by the injury. While the victim’s family has insisted that they won’t be suing Choi’s family, Gangnam District Office has officially fined Choi Siwon’s family for negligence. The Gangnam District Office submitted the notice for the 50,000 won (approximately $44) fee on October 24.
Victim’s son released a statement
Following the incident, the CEO’s son has released a statement. He mentioned, “I am not a saint. They came to me with apologies several times, and I guess it’d be more accurate to say that I ‘received them’. I wasn’t able to erase the hate in my heart and warmly embrace them with forgiveness is what I’m trying to say”.
