Winner is indeed popular in the Philippines!
Recently, Winner members went to El Nido, Palawan, Philippines for a shoot. When the group arrived in the country without any announcement, fans were surprised that they saw the members inside the airport. A fan quietly took a video of Mino and Seungyoon walking in front of her. That’s when the other fans of Winner knew that the group is in the country.
As they arrived in Palawan, a small yet renowned island located in the Philippines, fans already recognized the members and asked for photos with them. Mino was surprised to know that they have fans in Palawan.
Even though Winner didn’t release their specific whereabouts or schedules while in Palawan, their Filipino fans or Filipino Incles do have their ways of knowing Winner’s schedule.
As Winner, along with the entire YG staff, were about to go back to South Korea, the fans prepared a surprise send-off party for the K-pop group at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.
The staff of the establishment and the YG’s staff were indeed surprised that they didn’t know how to sneak Winner inside the airport without causing too much attention from other passengers.
As the YG staff decided to transfer Winner to the VIP entrance that made their fans quite sad, Seunghoon chose to open the door and walked straight in front of their fans. Seungyoon, Mino, and Jinwoo eventually followed Seunghoon.
