YG’s Rookie Monster is Back!
YG Entertainment’s latest (and only) girl group, Blackpink, is back and ready to rock the K-Pop world! The group made their comeback on the 22nd, with title song ‘As If It’s Your Last’. Contrary to their previous releases – dark and powerful songs – their latest song is rather cheery and girly.
Record-breaking comeback
The group’s anticipated comeback is deserving of the title ‘successful’, as the MV literally broke a record for being the most viewed K-Pop group MV in 24 hours. Within 24 hours, the MV garnered 13,316,290 views, the most ever for a K-pop group in 24 hours. Previously, the record was held by BTS, with their MV ‘Not Today’ being viewed 10,979,502 views 24 hours after its release.
Blackpink is also the fastest girl group in South Korea to win in a music show, only within 13 days after their debut. Congratulations to Blackpink!
