After (G)I-dle faced criticisms for using Muslim’s sacred place on their stage performance at the Golden Disk Awards 2019, the K-pop girl group of Cube Entertainment is now facing another criticism for allegedly copying 2ne1’s intro stage on their stage performance at the 8th Gaon Chart Music Awards.
In an award show, aside from looking forward to their idol’s live performances, people also look forward to the idol’s special stages every year since it adds something new and creativity that makes every idol’s award show performance more special than their weekly show performances.
(G)I-dle’s intro stage performance at the 8th Gaon Chart Music Awards initially received great reactions due their edgy intro.
However, after (G)I-dle’s performance, people started to notice the similarity of (G)I-dle’s intro stage to 2ne1’s intro stage performance during 2ne1’s performance at MAMA 2011.
