The Frozen Flower is a renowned 2008 historical erotic film partially based on Goryeo monarch Gongmin of Goryeo. The plot revolves around a love triangle involving the king, queen, and the king’s military commander, Hong Rim. Despite its contentious narrative, the picture was one of the top ten most-attended films in the United States in 2008, grossing over 3 million tickets.

This star-studded film featured a cast that comprised some of the top celebrities in the Korean entertainment business at the time they worked on the production.

Who are they?

1. Song Joong Ki

This South Korean superstar needs no introduction anymore. From his projects in Vincenzo and Reborn Rich, Song Joong Ki has captivated the hearts of many. His foray into the world of acting started with The Frozen Flower, where he was cast as a soldier named No Tak. Even though he had a limited number of lines, it was still a memorable experience for Song.

2. Jung Sung Il

Following his extraordinary acting in the smash-hit show on Netflix, “The Glory”, Jung’s fan base has grown exponentially in a mere few months. The revenge-themed thriller earned him the title of the “hottest daddy in town”, but his career in acting had actually begun with the 2008 film “A Frozen Flower”, where he had a small part as a royal guard.

3. Yeo Jin Goo

K-Drama fans from all around the world may have become familiar with him through Hotel Del Luna, however, Yeo Jin Goo captured the hearts of his homeland since he was a little one. He started his career as an actor at an early age, first appearing in Sad Movie in 2005. At the age of 11, he was chosen to portray the role of young Hong Rim in A Frozen Flower.

4. Park Sung Hoon

It appears that Yeonjin’s two romantic prospects in The Glory were acquainted with each other in the real world more than 10 years ago. Park Sung Hoon began his acting career in 2006, and his character as one of the Gunryong corps in A Frozen Flower was one of his initial ventures.
