Karl Lagerfeld, the creative director of Chanel and who is a close friend of G-dragon, died today in Paris at the age of 85.

Karl Lagerfeld is one of the iconic fashion trendsetters worldwide. He was known as a legend in the fashion industry even in the 90’s. He started his fashion journey at the age of 22.

In K-pop, Karl Lagerfeld has always been a close friend of Bigbang’s G-dragon.

In 2015, Chanel tweeted a group photo of G-dragon, Karl Lagerfeld, along with the other renowned international artists Kristen Stewart, Julianne Moore, Lily Collins, and more.

Also, in 2016, Karl Lagerfeld personally took all the photos of G-Dragon for the 20th anniversary of Vogue.

During Chanel’s fashion shows, Karl Lagerfeld always sends YG Entertainment’s artist an invite to their private fashion shows.

G-Dragon always gets the front row seat whenever he’s attending Chanel’s fashion show in Paris.

Aside from G-Dragon, other artists who are also close to Karl Lagerfeld are Bigbang TOP and Taeyang, 2ne1’s CL and Korean actress, Park Shin Hye.
